You fly from Amsterdam to Innsbruck in an hour, from there it’s just an hour by car and you are in Kirchberg. This cozy village is located in the middle of the Kitzbüheler Alpen and is known for its good apres ski and winter sports facilities.

What to do during a long weekend in Kirchberg

Skiën

Kirchberg has a beautiful ski area with more than 170 km of slopes. The slopes are wide with beautiful panoramas and nice mountain huts. Kirchberg is also known from the Hahnenkamm-Rennen with a descent from the legendary Streif. One of the most difficult descents in the world.

Food

Want to have some good food and relax a bit during the day? Then you should definitely go to the Steinberg Kogel. An extensive menu and an amazing panorama view.

Steinberg Kogl

Done skiing and ready for dinner? The Kupferstub’n in the village is a restaurant you have to visit! The restaurant has won several barbecue prices and has a fantastic hostess.

Evening tobogganing

Still got some energy left from skiing and ready for some adventure? On the Gaisberg you can go night tobogganing on several days a week. Halfway through the toboggan run is the restaurant Obergaisberg with great views over the village and the toboggan run.

Apres-ski

One of the things Kirchberg is known for is his lively apres-ski. The village has a number of top bars where you can party every night. Are you in Kirchberg? Then there’s a big change you will encounter a performance by artists such as Wolter Kroes, Dries Roelvink or Danny Froger. Many of the bars have Dutch owners.

Winter hike

Not that much into skiing? Then are still plenty things to do in Kirchberg.
